Back to training after a great Christmas

Hi guys, hope you all had a great Christmas. Today I had my first training session in about a week and a half. Thought I would take the time off over Christmas. But now I am back and what a better way to start the first session back then with chest and biceps.

It was a light session back today to get back into it and it was a great session, felt good to be back. You may be thinking why go back when New Years is on its way. But why wait for for the New Year to make a change, get into routine NOW!! Don't wait for a specific day to make the change, if you want the change then be it and do it right away. Find the motivation and drive yourself to be the best you can be. I always tell myself that and believe me when I say it, it works.

Today's session:

Incline Dumbbell Chest press - 4 sets - 8-10 reps
Flat Dumbbell Chest Press - 4 sets - 8-10 reps
Dumbbell flies - 4 sets - 10 reps
Incline Dumbbell Flies - 3 sets - 10 reps

Incline Bicep curl - 5 sets - 10 reps
Hammer Curls - 4 sets - 10 reps
Preacher curl - 4 sets - 10 reps

I kept the session small today to get myself back into the swing of things in the gym. Always work yourself up don't just jump in the deep end, build your strength up, never worry what other people think of you if you are lifting less weight then them. Stick to your comfort zone, don't boost your ego to impress others.

Tomorrow's session nice and early is a back and triceps session. Keep posted as my session will be on here after I have done it.

Training Update

So just a quick update regarding to my training which is going great really seeing these gains over this bulking period. Legs and shoulders is the plan for the morning and at the bottom of this post will be the routine I shall follow for tomorrow so check it out and give it a try.
It will be an early morning session for me, going to get a good pre workout meal in about an hour before I head over to the gym. It would normally be just shoulders tomorrow but I was busy working today so couldn't fit legs in today, but it's cool, I'll just be sure to go in hard tomorrow.
I'm planning on making some more YouTube videos this coming week in between doing all my college work so be on the lookout for that one.

Right so here is my routine for legs and shoulders tomorrow: The weights I'm putting in are just a rough weight from my last lift on these muscle groups.

Legs:
Squats - 6 working sets - 6 reps - 95kg - 2 warm up sets at 50kg
Sumo deadlift - 4 working sets - 8 reps - 90kg - 1 warm up set at 40kg
Walking DB lunges - 3 working sets - 10 reps - 26kg each DB
Leg curl - 5 working sets - 8 reps - 45kg
Leg extension - 5 working sets - 10 reps - 100kg - 2 dropsets

Shoulders:
DB shoulder press - 5 working sets - 8 reps - 22kg - 2 warm up sets at 14kg
DB lat raise - 6 working sets - 10 reps - 10kg
Front raise - 5 working sets - 10 reps - 14kg
Cable upright row - 5 working sets - 10 reps - 23kg
Shrugs - 6 working sets - 12 reps - 36kg - 2 drop sets

There we have it my workout for tomorrow, make sure you give that a go and let me know what you think.
Thanks

05/12/13

So today has been a long long day, with college, training and also training my client. But it has been a great day, seeing big improvements in the gym and also having a fun session with my client. But to top it all off I have received an early present from the family ... a new laptop, something I needed badly. Not just so I can do all of my college work, but so I can maintain communication with you guys and put more videos on YouTube.

That's the good news over with now onto what has gone on today. So today was suppose to be a chest and shoulders routine but instead I decided to do a chest and back session, including supersets to really put them muscles to work, wow did I feel that alright. Hitting a new personal best on the flat Dumbbell chest press at 30kg. The highest weight I was at before was 26kg so I am proud of that one, really starting to see massive strength gains.

Tomorrow is a nice easy day but it is one of my favourite days, it's Friday which means arm day and the day before a nice chilled weekend. Keep looking out as I will be posting my new routine on here for you guys.

Don't forget to check out my YouTube page as I will be posting more videos now I have the equipment to do so. Thanks Guys.

Chest day

So today I have treated myself to a few cheat meals. Where I'm bulking I am trying to gain as much as I can during this winter period. Dinner today is a curry, a chicken korma, but I'm still keeping it as clean as possible by using wholemeal rice.

It's a great tip for some of you guys, if you do struggle to keep your diet clean then have the one meal that still keeps you going but don't substitute all the good food for bad, even it out so you don't feel so bad for eating it. If you train hard week in week out then see it as a treat for all your hard earned efforts.

Leg day

So today was a leg day for me. Below is a picture of the session which shows the exercise, rest period, tempo and whether it's a superset or tri set or to be done on it's own.
Give this session a try and let me know what you think.

I'm back

Hi guys.

It's been a while since I last posted, I have been very busy with my college work. But don't worry I am still keeping up with my fitness.

Currently still bulking and since September I have gained 5kg of mass. I am proud of myself in doing so and as of now I will be sharing more of my progress with you.

I have also been training my clients so I may have more progress stories to come your way. Stay focused and drive to your goals guys.

Serious mass for serious results

So if you are looking to gain weight but you are really struggling to get them calories in. What you need is Optimum Nutrition's Serious Mass, packed with lots of calories in each shake it will put the weight on in no time.

Just 2 heaping scoops will provide you with 1250 calories that includes 50grams of protein, 252grams of carbs and just 4grams of fat. That is even before you add anything else such as milk. Using milk will bring it up to around 1450 calories.

If you are feeling really hardcore with this then add extra ingredients such as peanut butter, greek yoghurt or even oats. The back of the packaging tells you how many extra calories this will provide so you can easily make yourself a 2000 calorie shake which will fill you up for a good 2 hours or so.

The only downside to this product is there is not a lot of servings, the 5kg bag is only 16 servings and for the amount you pay that is a very expensive product. But it works and that is the most important thing. I use this product for my bulking phase and each bag puts on minimum of 3kg.

So there we have it, it is only a short review but I am looking at making a video review of the product so watch out for that one. More coming soon guys.
